Small & Simple

I made this blog to share my testimony as it grows. I am hoping that as you read through this you will gain a stronger testimony of Christ and Gods love for each of us. I am also hoping that you will comment and share your testimony. For a while I thought that I shouldn't share my testimony because it was so simple. It wasn't grand like the prophets or the spiritual giants that you met in seminary, but then I got this simple desire to learn as much as I could about the gospel.

It kind of started with me trying to read the Book of Mormon in a short amount of time. As I did that I learned to love the Book of Mormon. I was sad when I finished it, and no longer had to read 12 pages a day. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and the gospel that it teaches is true. I have felt the love of God while I read it. I didn't just read it though. I marked things that I had a small testimony of, or I just learned something, and I wrote on sticky notes my thoughts on it and put it on the page with it. It gathered my thoughts together and really helped me learn. I also began to recognize peoples voices and that they were separate people speaking.

I gained a testimony of Joseph Smith, that there was no way that he could have written it. I know that Joseph Smith really did see God, the Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ, and they did speak with him and direct him to restore The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I know that there is a God and he cares for each and everyone of us. I see his hand in my life daily. When I am at school, learning history, biology, and whatever class I am in. I see it through the interactions I have with people. God truly does love us, we are his children. And he gives us blessings whenever he can. He wants us to come back to him so badly. He gave Jesus Christ to die for us, and give us a remission of our sins so that we could return back to him.

I want to be an instrument in Gods hands and the only way I can do that is by sharing my talents, my knowledge, my service and love for others. I hope that you will feel the love of God for you and gain a humble confidence through God. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
